Compulsory topics

Compulsory topics are determined by NSW Fair Trading in consultation with industry.

The new CPD 2022 - 2023 Compulsory topics are:

Option A:

1. Privacy (1 hour)
2. Supervision Guidelines and Rules of Conduct (1 hour)
3. Underquoting (1 hour)

Option B:

1. Cyber Security & Fraudulent Activity (1 hour)
2. Supervision Guidelines and Rules of Conduct (1 hour)
3. Underquoting (1 hour)

Option C:

1. Industry Contracts (Leasing) (1 hour)
2. Supervision Guidelines and Rules of Conduct (1 hour)
3. Privacy (1 hour)

Note: This option is only relevant to real estate agents specialising in leasing and/or managing residential property and/or rural land.

Option D:

1. Industry Contracts (Sales) (1 hour)
2. Supervision Guidelines and Rules of Conduct (1 hour)
3. Underquoting (1 hour)

Note: This option is only relevant to real estate agents specialising in selling residential property and/or rural land.

Option E:

1. COVID-Safe Business v2 (1 hour)
2. Supervision Guidelines and Rules of Conduct (1 hour)
3. Underquoting (1 hour)

Option F:

1. Cyber Security & Fraudulent Activity (1 hour)
2. Supervision Guidelines and Rules of Conduct (1 hour)
3. Privacy (1 hour)

Note: This option is applicable to both Strata Management and Real Estate Agents.

Elective topics

As a class 1 licence holder you may choose to undertake elective from the follwoing:

Multiple choice topics:

1. Fraud Prevention in Real Estate (3 hours)
2. Body Language Magic (3 hours)
3. Market Property for Sale (3 hours)
4. Manage Conflict and Disputes in The Property Industry (3 hours)
5. Develop People with Coaching and Mentoring (3 hours)
6. Time Management (3 hours)
7. Sales Practices (3 hours)
8. Work Health & Safety in Property Services Industry (3 hours)
9. Communication Skills in Property Services Industry (3 hours)
10. Real Estate Reforms 2020 - 2021 (3 hours)

Short Answer topics:

1. Asbestos - Property Professional's Practical Guide (3 hours)
2. Building Client Relationships using Emotional Intelligence (3 hours)

Business skills topics 

Only class 1 licence holders are required to complete 3 hours of business skills topics per year. You may choose to undertake business skills topic:

1. Trust accounting principles and audit requirements (3 hours) NEW
2. Fraud Prevention in Real Estate (3 hours)
3. Work Health & Safety in Property Services Industry (3 hours)
