Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW vocational education and training system. It will give people the chance to gain the skills they need to get a job and advance their careers.

Under Smart and Skilled you will have more choice – to find the course you want to study, to decide where to do your training and to plan your own career pathway.

From 1 January 2015, Smart and Skilled provides eligible students with:

• an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including Certificate III. This  includes many traineeships
• government funding for higher-level courses (Certificate IV and Diploma) in targeted priority areas, subject to funding availability.
