eLearning Requirements

Our recommendations and minimum system requirements are meant to provide general guidelines on which computer configurations work best. Having a higher system and latest software versions will result in faster and more efficient learning.

Most PC's and Mac computers manufactured within the last 5 years will have the minimum requirements to complete eLearning material adequately.

Hardware Requirements

1. Computer Speed and Processor

Use a computer no older than 5 years when possible
4 GB of RAM, 8 GB is preferred
Dual core Intel i3, i5, i7 or AMD Ryzen CPU
128 GB Harddrive, Solid State Disk (SSD) is preferred

2. Screen Resolution

Moodle or Catapult is best viewed at a minimum of 1024 x 576.

3. Internet Capability

Though Moodle has been carefully crafted to accommodate low bandwidth environments many of the multimedia resources will use require high-speed/high-bandwidth Internet access.

A minimum of 512 Kbps is need for Moodle or Catapult, Online courses using video conferencing zoom or MS Teams require 1.0 Mbps up and down.

Software Requirements

1. Operating System
